iPADs re-authenticating to WPA2 Enterprise network

Hi All,

I have the following problem with our enterprise wireless network. We are able to connect to our wireless network with iPADS and IPhones successfully.

But with the Ipads when you leave the office and come back after few hours it asks you to re-authenticate so you have to type in your username and password again. But with the iphones it automatically reconnects to the wireless network. Is there any difference between the iPADS and iPhones on the authentication methods that are used for example ms-chapV2 or PEAP?

If you step out of the office for about 20 minutes and back then the IPADS do not ask for username and password it auto connects, it would seem like there is a time limit set or something.

We use cisco wireless controller and AP's with server 2012R radius server

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The device requests access to the network when a user selects an available wireless network or the device detects a previously configured network. 2 When the access point receives the request, it passes the request to the RADIUS authentication server for authentication. 3 The RADIUS server uses directory services to validate the user account. 4 After the user is authenticated, the access point provides network access with policies and permissions as instructed by the RADIUS server
